Dax HigginsTeacher (Science & Math)
BS; Biology Education, Utah Valley State College (now UVU)

Dax has been teaching in the Utah public education system for three years, and has been working as a teacher at Oxbow Academy since May of 2007. He particularly enjoys teaching at Oxbow because of the individual attention he’s able to give students as he helps them with Math and Science one on one. Dax has a real passion for science and loves to share that enthusiasm with the students through hands-on activities and labs. His flair for making learning interesting and fun has helped inspire his students to succeed in the science fields. Dax obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Utah Valley State College with Honors in Biology, and currently holds a Level 2 Professional Educator’s License from the state of Utah with an endorsement to teach Integrated Science. He lives in Mount Pleasant with his wife, where he just built a new home and plans to stay for years to come. He enjoys camping and fishing in the summer, and snowboarding in the nearby mountains in the winter. Dax also loves to play the guitar and almost any other musical instrument he can get his hands on.
