Chelsea Ross, LCSW, CSAT-Candidate

Chelsea Ross is part of the experienced clinical team as a therapist for Oxbow Academy. Before coming to Oxbow Academy, she worked for an outpatient counseling center and has also worked as a therapist working with people who committed sexual offenses.

Chelsea has both a Bachelor and a Masters degree in Social Work degree from Utah Valley University. She has experience working at the Center for Women and Children in Crisis. In that position, Chelsea learned to advocate for her clients. She helped to support her clients’ personal health and safety. She helped them to find job opportunities and stable housing.

In addition, Chelsea also has experience working at the Psychiatric Unit of Mountain View Hospital. She helped patients transition to life outside the hospital. This included helping patients to find appropriate treatment.

Chelsea has a unique ability to balance taking an objective view with helping others to feel comfortable. She is able to adjust the environment to meet individuals’ needs.

Chelsea has experience using Cognitive Behavioral Interventions and Motivational Interviewing.

Chelsea enjoys helping teens and their families. She also enjoys the collaboration between the staff at Oxbow Academy.
