Chelsea Ross, LCSW, CSAT-Candidate

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience working with adolescents impacted by unhealthy and harmful sexual behaviors. I understand how overwhelming and frightening it can be for families to face these concerns, and I am deeply committed to helping young people take responsibility for their behavior while learning healthier, safer ways to cope and relate to others.

I have also worked with adults involved in sexual offending, which informs my structured, accountability-based approach to treatment. At Oxbow Academy, this means providing clear expectations, consistent boundaries, and developmentally appropriate interventions that support safety, insight, and long-term change. I am a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) and am trained in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and psychoeducation. My clinical work focuses on helping students understand the “why” behind their behaviors, develop emotional regulation skills, and build a strong foundation for responsible decision-making.

I strive to create a therapeutic environment that balances compassion with accountability—one in which students feel supported, understood, and challenged to grow. I believe meaningful change happens when adolescents are met with honesty, structure, and care, and when families are supported throughout the process.

Outside of my professional role, I value time with my husband and three children. Being a parent myself strengthens my commitment to helping families move through difficult moments with hope, clarity, and a path forward.
