Theresa Lynn Limberg is a highly trained therapist at Oxbow Academy. She earned her Masters’s and Bachelors’s degrees in Social Work from the University of Utah. Theresa was employed as an outpatient therapist prior to taking her position as a therapist with Oxbow Academy. She prefers working in residential programs because they are better suited to her goals of helping others at a more productive and intensive level. Theresa uses her gift of insight to help others. She is aware that students at Oxbow Academy belong to a vulnerable population. Because of this, she feels privileged to be an integral part of the process of change for our students. As a therapist, she uses a strength-based perspective. Her goals are to help her clients’ achieve their goals of healing and change. In order to help students, she uses modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, and Solution-Focused Therapy. She enjoys being outside working with her animals, gardening, camping, and golfing. Quilting and crafts are other hobbies she enjoys.
