Linda King – Language Arts Teacher

Language Arts Teacher

Language Arts Teacher at Oxbow Academy

Linda secured her Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Utah State University. She has been teaching Language Arts and Reading in North Sanpete School District for fourteen years. During her early years of teaching, Linda obtained secondary endorsements in English, Reading and ESL. Linda was raised in a small town in southern Montana where she learned to love the mountains and pine trees. She is married and has four children who are all grown and married. All of Linda’s children and their families live nearby. She has seven grandchildren and is anticipating the arrival of two more in the fall. She has a great love for her family and for the outdoors. She loves to spend time fishing, rock hunting, touring the mountains on her four-wheeler, and playing with her grandchildren. Linda joined the Oxbow Team in October of 2012 and has found guiding these young men through the processes of learning as self-rewarding. Linda sees the students as being faced with many challenges and hopes to be viewed as a positive role model in their young lives. She also enforces the idea that they are here to grow, both academically and personally, and to continue to move in a positive direction.
