Doris Brunson is our West Campus Residential Coordinator.
Doris Brunson was born and raised in Moroni, Utah and now lives in Mt. Pleasant. She is married to her husband, David, and has three children, one of which passed away at the age of 11, due to developmental delay. He lived 8 years longer than the Doctors said he would. She has 2 grandsons that are the light of her life. Doris has worked in many different job venues but absolutely loves working with the youth here at Oxbow. She has been with us for almost 8 years and finds it so rewarding to see the changes in the boys as they grow and learn about themselves. She, along with her fantastic team of qualified and caring staff, puts in a lot of time and energy to teach the boys how to build positive relationships with family, peers, and staff. It is so important to work as a team and help out and work with the Therapist’s, Equine Directors, Cooks, Nurse and East Campus Residential Coordinator to coordinate and support one another. Doris loves to cook for the boys when we have our camping trips and makes some of the best homemade salsa. She also enjoys seeing how much the boys love and appreciate the mountains and all it has to offer along with the chance it gives the boys a get away from the normal daily routine and experiences fun in the outdoors.
“I truly love this Oxbow Family because we all work so well together to make this a life changing experience for these boys.”
- Doris has many hobbies, such as crafts, decorating, making quilts, cooking, camping, riding ATV’s and anything spending time with her family and friends.
